Three 6 Mafia's beginnings date back to the early '90s when they were known as Triple Six Mafia. Given their longevity and longtime status as cult sensations within the rap underground, it's remarkable that such a group would crossover with 'Stay Fly' and 'It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp'.
Back in the day, 1991 to be exact, DJ Paul and Juicy J teamed up to form their first record label Prophet Entertainment. Operating from 1991 until 1998 until Juicy J and Paul split from their business partner to fcrm Hypnotized Mindz, the independent record label that currently houses Three-6-Mafia. Having developed an underground cult following throughout the South for more than two decades before scoring Oscars in 2006, Three 6 Mafia are legitimate Southern rap icons.
This compilation features classics from Three-6's early days at Prophet Entertainment. This disc features 16 tracks from the Three 6 vault.
