Recently sentenced to life in prison after being indicted for conspiracy and delivering more than 1,000 grams of crack cocaine, Fort Worth rap musician Tommy "Twisted Black" Burns was handed down three concurrent 30-year federal prison terms. Shortly following his arrest after a jailhouse informant told police he bought cocaine from Black, the ink dried from a record deal with TVT Records. With an appeal in motion and the FREE TWISTED BLACK movement underway, Black drops his fifth career album 'Street Fame.' With prosecutors in his case using lyrics from past records against Black in his federal case, this album is under the microscope as the debate rolls on: should rappers' lyrics be able to be used against them in a court of law? With in-house production and dark, grizzly ghetto stories, this album is telling the life of Twisted Black...before it's all gone.
